In April 1975 and in January 1989 the American cities of Oakland (California) and Bellingham (state of Washington) became Nakhodka’s sister- cities. In June 1991 the Chinese city of Jilin and in December the same year the city of Donghae (the Republic of Korea) were added to the list of Nakhodka’s sister-cities. The agreement of the establishment of sister-city relations between the city of Nakhodka and the province of Phuket was signed in September, 2006. All the sister-cities are ports except Jilin.
