15.11.2016 Business preferences of the Free Port of Vladivostok stimulate Nakhodka enterprises to invest in the city district economy
The Supervisory Board of the Free Port of Vladivostok approved two another investment projects of Nakhodka enterprises. JSC Vostochny Port, the largest coal handling company in the Primorsky Territory, is going to implement an ambitious investment project on construction of the coal terminal’s Phase 3 including the construction of the federal railway infrastructure. The company plans to invest about 17 bln. 245 mln. rubles. “VST” Co. Ltd declared its readiness to spend more than 147 mln. rubles for the creation and development of the chain of logistics and storage terminals.
Thus, in the Nakhodka city district the number of companies wishing to use preferences of the Free Port regime increased up to 17 ones. During five years total investments into the economy are expected to make up 24 bln 813 mln rubles. More than 1,100 jobs are planned to be created.
Among the largest ones are investment projects in the area of logistics and industrial activity. Thus “Nakhodka Sea Fishing Port” OJSC is going to carry large scale reconstruction and modernization of the port. The company is looking into creation of multi-purpose transshipment complex including cooling-freezing center with advanced technologies and equipment for expansion of handling, storage and processing of fish. Thereby 250 jobs are planned to be created. The enterprise plans to spend for this purpose over 3 bln. 900 mln. rubles.
“Open Base for Bunkering Fishing Vessels” LLC aims to invest about 2 bln. 950 mln. rubles in construction of oil bunkering terminal. “Port-Livadiya” LLC plans to spend 134.5 mln. rubles for large scale reconstruction and modernization of the port facilities. “Soyuzgaz” Co., Ltd., in its turn, plans to build terminal for transfusion of liquefied gas LPG from railway cisterns into tank containers. Realization of this project will require about 210 mln. rubles. Staff of new enterprise will be 65 people.
We would remind that the Federal Law “On Free Port of Vladivostok” entered into force October 12, 2015. Mode free port operates in Nakhodka and 15 other municipalities of Primorskiy Territory. The Freeport regime provides a wide range of business preferences.
Government of the Russian Federation attaches great hopes to implementation of the Federal Law “On Free Port of Vladivostok”. A wide range of business preferences is aimed at doubling the gross regional product and increasing the investment into fixed assets, which ultimately affect the level of life of all inhabitants of the region. Nakhodka city administration and city duma, in their turn, have offered additional 'tax breaks' for free port residents.
