12.12.2016    The Consul of the Culture Department of the General Consulate of Japan in Vladivostok gave high appraisal to the contribution of Nakhodka in the development of friendly ties between the countries

The Consul of the Culture Department of the General Consulate of Japan in Vladivostok Mr. Takayanagi Keita paid a visit to Nakhodka for the first time after his appointment to this post. On behalf of all local citizens the official representative of the Land of the Rising Sun was welcomed by first deputy head of the Nakhodka City Administration Boris Gladkikh.  “Due to regular holding of so-called days of Japanese culture, citizens of Nakhodka have an opportunity to better understand mentality of people from neighboring country. Nakhodka has sister-city relations with three Japanese cities such as Otaru, Tsuruga and Maizuru. We have long-standing friendly relations. We make every effort to strengthen business, cultural and sports ties”, said Boris Gladkikh.

Aide to the Head of Nakhodka Irina Scherbina told that events held by the Consulate General of Japan in Vladivostok were very popular among citizens of Nakhodka. Days of Japanese culture, workshops on national kinds of Japanese art, movie festivals, etc. always unite a great number of participants.

Mr. Takayanagi Keita expressed hope that friendly ties between Nakhodka and Japanese cities would become stronger and stronger and economic ties would be developed.
