28.11.2016    Industrial growth of Nakhodka provides stable development of the city district

Nakhodka continues strengthening positions as one of the largest transport hubs of Russia. Total volume of cargo handling by stevedore companies has increased by 5.8 percent in comparison with the same period of 2015 and made up 68.5 million tons. Almost all ports have already completed modernization of infrastructure and creation of new facilities or still continue doing this.

Thus, Vostochny Port JSC LLC is implementing an ambitious investment project on construction of the coal terminal’s Phase 3 including the construction of the federal railway infrastructure. New terminal facilities will be put into operation in 2017 allowing for port capacity to reach 39 million tons in 2019. Transneft – Kozmino Port has completed modernization of its berth. The approach dam revamping accompanied by dredging work allows the reception of tankers with the deadweight of up to 150,000 tons at berth No. 2 of Kozmino oil port. Being a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok, Nakhodka Sea Fishing Port OJSC has started to carry large scale reconstruction and modernization of the port. The company is looking into creation of multi-purpose transshipment complex including cooling-freezing center with advanced technologies and equipment for expansion of handling, storage and processing of fish.

Moreover, for nine months of this year local industrial enterprises shipped own-produced goods worth 10.7 billion rubles, which was 43.5 percent higher than last year.

The food production industry also shows a positive trend. Significant growth made up 78.7 percent. Mainly it was due to the production of the company “Yuzhmorrybflot”.

In the area of consumer market, turnover of large and medium-sized companies increased by 1.5 percent and amounted to 20.1 billion rubles.
